2023 Tales Trove International Children's Art Competition
The 2023 TalesTrove International Children's Art Competition is organized by Sichuan People's Publishing House and the TalesTrove Children's Painting Organizing Committee. The competition has received attention and support from multiple institutions, media and organizations. This competition is open to young art enthusiasts from all around the world and aims to create an international platform for children's interactive exchange and communication.
Participants Requirements
- The theme of the competition is "My Future Career Dream" . It is open to children under 12 years old from all around the world.
- The format of the artworks is not limited. Single artworks, four-panel comics, and other innovative forms are eligible for participation. Both black and white and color artworks are acceptable.
Selection Process
- Submission Period: from July 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023
- Selection Period: from September 1, 2023 to September 7, 2023
- Announce Period: from September 9, 2023 to September 30, 2023
How to Participate
- The specifications for a single artwork are A3 size paper, and the artwork does not need to be framed.
- After completing the painting, participants should have their parents or teachers take a high-resolution photo or scan of the artwork and send it to the email address: talestrove@163.com
- Please include the following information in the email: participant‘s name, age, location, and contact email of the parent/teacher.
- Additionally, please attach a separate photo of the participant with the artwork in the email.

Competition Guideline
Before submitting your works, please ensure that you have read and are willing to comply with the relevant competition rules. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entries that violate the competition rules.
The submitted artwork must be original. If there is evidence of non-originality, the organizers and the judging panel have the right to take actions such as deleting the entry, disqualifying the participant, and revoking any awards received. Participants must accept and respect the judgment results regarding originality by the judges and the organizers.
The works must comply with relevant laws and regulations of China. The following content is strictly prohibited: the use of national flags, national anthems, national emblems, military flags, military anthems, military emblems, or any elements of a national nature; content that harms national dignity or interests or leaks national secrets; content that disrupts social stability or harms public interests; content that endangers personal or property safety, or violates personal privacy; content that disrupts social order or goes against social norms; content that is obscene, pornographic, gambling-related, superstitious, terrifying, or violent; content that involves discrimination based on ethnicity, race, religion, or gender; content that harms the physical and mental health of minors or disabled individuals; content that hinders environmental, natural resource, or cultural heritage preservation; content that infringes upon the rights of third parties; and any other content prohibited by laws and regulations.
Some selected works may have the opportunity to be showcased on TalesTrove official accounts (including but not limited to official the Red, WeChat, Weibo, TikTok, etc.) and official offline events. It is important to note that by participating in this activity and submitting works, you grant the organizers the right to edit (including modifications), display, and promote the submitted works on TalesTrove’s official accounts and related activity pages. We will credit the author's name on the relevant pages to protect the author's rights.
Winners will be notified within 10 working days after the selection process ends via email. Participants are advised to check for notifications. All prizes are expected to be distributed and sent out within 15 working days after the conclusion of the offline award ceremony. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, there may be delays in the delivery of physical prizes. Please refer to the actual situation for specific details.
